Cheong Lee is a musician with a fascination for lost instruments. Over 2,000 years ago, the court musicians of the Marquis Yi of Zeng would have included a transverse flute known as the Chi in their performance. Since then the instrument has fallen out of favor and disappeared from Chinese music. Recently, Lee conducted a careful study of the instrument in order to design one to be 3D printed so that its notes could be heard again. He continues to investigate the instrument as it does not part with its secrets easily. Read more about the creation in the full article: http://3dprint.com/91641/ancient-chi-transverse-flute/
