Industrial Design and Mechanical Engineering Technology students enrolled in Professor Simon Williamson's class at Wentworth Institute of Technology were challenged to create an insect using Solidworks, bringing together designers and engineers in a collaborative effort. One group of students--Christopher Zimmitti, Larkin Moneyhun, Max Mahan, and Tyler Nutting--came together to create a roly poly bug, designing it in Solidworks and determining the best materials and methods for producing it. They 3D printed the insect's spine and spikes. Read the full article for more details on the design: http://3dprint.com/91584/3d-printed-roly-poly-bug/
