Hi everyone. I came across the QIDI Tech 1 and it really looks like a solid product. I tried to read up on some reviews, but there are not many out there. Are the owners in this forum happy with the product and what kind of upgrades would you suggest? I really like the dual extruder and the possibility to print real support material if needed. I would prefer a automatic bed leveling, but i guess I can also live without it

Thanks for some feedback and making my decision easier

the bed levelling should not be an issue.
Doesn't take long and you pretty much only need to level a bed if you change the temp of the bed during printing.

It's a replicator dual clone - not a replicator 2 - no idea what the difference is, but they do have different profiles in most slicers.

so upgrade parts that fit the replicator dual do also fit the qidi? and i can also print HIPS, PVA and other materials with the qidi, right?

The build volume of the Rep 2 is a little bigger and the steps/mm of the travel is a little different. I think different pulley sizes cause this.

But yes, Rep 1 Dual is correct for the Qidi.

    Depends on what upgrade parts.

This was my concern because I am used to RepRaps so I can easily modify them and upgrade them at my leisure but what happens with a printer like this (meaning any non DIY printers)?

edit: They replied back to me and I thanked them so maybe in 2-3 months I will ask them about the bigger printer but here is what they replied:
    Friend ,

Yes , the small one has already designed ,
It is in the testing now .
But the bigger one still in the design .

    Best regards
    Emily

a few pages back i saw a list with some print parts for the filament rolls, the extruder and some other parts... actually i can't find it anymore :/

is the dual extruder also capable to print real support material? can i print ABS and use HIPS or something else as support? do the extruders support different heat settings?

This I can tell you is a resounding yes. Each nozzle is a separate entity so in your slicer tell it which one is for the support in Slic3r and in Simplify 3d it is easy to do.

This I can tell you is a resounding yes. Each nozzle is a separate entity so in your slicer tell it which one is for the support then adjust each nozzle's temp/speed/retraction/etc... according to the material being used. Slic3r crashed the first time I told it I had two nozzles but worked afterward and Simplify 3D it is right there.

I think your referring to Post #56
I've updated the my list from Post #56

Printing and installing these will make the printer more reliable and possibly save some failed prints.

    The parts are
