Toronto-based HEALX Innovation, founded in 2011 by OCAD University graduate Mandad Tabrizi, is a medical design company focusing on musculoskeletal injuries. Through the use of 3D scanning and printing technology, HEALX seeks to create customized wrist braces, the first in their planned line of medical devices. HEALX currently utilizes FDM and SLA technologies to prototype their designs, in conjunction with their own software that uses 3D scan data of injuries to create custom designs.
