    Filament safe for baby's toys?

I found a rattle on Thingiverse that I want to make for my younger brothers first kid. Is there any filament out there that you guys would feel safe using? Obviously the big one is that they're gonna slobber all over it, but it also needs to have some strength to it, as I've seen kids hammer these on floors repeatedly. I was thinking of those hypoallergenic filaments? Thanks for your input!

Its not so much the material you need to concerned about than it is the process. 3D printing creates parts that are an ideal breeding ground for bacteria, moulds and other nasties. Sterilizing them is not simple, some might say impossible.
