Reaction Engines Ltd is currently testing a small scale version of their advanced air-breathing, atmosphere to space SABRE engines at the Westcott Venture Park at Buckinghamshire, UK. The aerospace engine technology development company has designed a 3D printed injector mechanism that allows the engine to be cooled down enough to enable the SABRE craft to reach speeds greater than mach 5 and leave Earth’s orbit. They have successfully fired the test engine 15 times, and will next test the transition from atmospheric flight to space flight. You can find out more about the Skylon spaceplanes 3D printed injectors over on 3DPrint.com: http://3dprint.com/81151/skylon-spaceplane-3d-printing/
