Borealis Project Aims at Creating Super Fast Multiple Laser 3D Printing Technique
For those who following the metal additive manufacturing industry, there is some exciting news coming out of Italy, where a company called Prima Industrie has formed a consortium to develop a new metal 3D printing process which promises to print at speeds of 2000 cm3 per hour. The technology also allows for surface finishing, surface holes, and surface texturing. It utilizes 5 additive manufacturing technologies, and multiple lasers to accomplish its goal.
