    MASSIVit 3D's GDP 3D Printers Are Huge

    Israeli startup MASSIVit 3D, founded in 2013, is proving that bigger is better as they introduce their GDP 3D printing technology. GDP--Gel Dispensed Printing--technology can create incredibly large objects in an extremely fast manner through a combination of FDM and SLA techniques, using a proprietary photosensitive gel material. With a build envelope of 1.5 x 1.2 x 1.8 m, print speed of 1,000mm/sec, and print productivity of up to 35cm/hour, the GDP tech was proven as a concept in printing the body of Local Motors' Strati car.
