Artist Anna Nazo has breathed new life into the dead language of the ancient Romans. The letters themselves have been printed from powder and given form again...but not as they would have originally been written. Instead, Nazo had an expert in ancient languages read the letters as they would have been pronounced and used the sound waves to distort the three axes of the digital models. The prints of the letters appear to swarm and writhe across the surfaces; whispering to us from the dust of the past.
