Hollie was born with no right hand as a result of Amniotic Band Syndrome. Traditional prosthetics were difficult for her to obtain because she would outgrow them quickly. After speaking with her father, designer Christopher Chappell decided to create a prosthetic that would work for her given the lack of a palm for support. He used printed nylon in order to take advantage of its inherent flexibility. He is currently working on improving the design and creating new models for Hollie.
