Prusa I3 kit - extruder issues - need help

Just finished a kit build of a Prusia Iv3, everything seems to be working except i can get no response out of the extruder. Its gotta be something with the port on the board, motor works find when plugged into another port and also have tried diffrent cables. Any suggestions?

Assuming the firmware is Marlin and assuming your firmware config is similar to mine, the extruder won't operate until the hot-end reaches a minimum temperature of 170C.

This is to prevent forcing cold filament thru the hot-end and possibly damaging it or the extruder mechanism.
