Hi,

I've been looking at professional 3D printers that would be of use where I work. Mainly I would be using this for building fixtures, tools, jigs, etc. I have a few questions that I'm sure many of you know the answer to:

1) What is the strongest/most durable method of printing plastic?
2) What is the best plastic to make tools from? I don't mean wrenches or hammers, just jigs for alignment, or drill templates (with drill bushings of course). The things I print would see regular use and may have to hold up to several pounds of load (in the form of toggle clamps).

Basically I'm looking for a sub $5,000 (hopefully, could go up to $20k but that would require consulting my superiors and budgeting for it) printer that I can use to make tools for assembling or fabricating parts. Must be "professional" grade, as in it shouldn't look out of place in an office or on my desk.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
-MC
