high all my 3d printer is coming up for a 50 hour service ive completed everything except clean out the filament gearing it is working fine should I leave this as the saying goes if its not broke don't fix it or should I clean it out as well thanks in advance

And yeah, you're right, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. But routine preventive maintance is a good idea. Just listen for bad bearings, look for wooble, grinding, etc.

So what does that entail ?

I pretty much keep the rods clean and lubed and tighten the bolts on the case every now and then.
what else would you do ?

I reset the heat bed
