Professor Laura Taalman, a Thingiverse user who goes by the name mathgrrl, has done an ingenious thing by making a Snowflake Machine based on algorithms that mimic the way snowflakes form in nature. This easy to use Machine can make different sized snowflake patterns, no two the same, to be 3D printed and used as decorative items year round or as holiday ornaments. This is a fascinating project that beckons us to start using this Snowflake Machine to 3D print as many different types of snowflakes as we possibly can, don't you think?
