While in the desktop/hobby arena, most makers are more familiar with Cartesian-based 3D printing systems, Delta-style machines are gaining traction for their ease of use, precision, and light weight. SeeMeCNC, a leading Delta 3D printer manufacturer, has just created a new impressive machine for '90s icon Vanilla Ice. Robert Matthew Van Winkle (Vanilla Ice) now hosts The Vanilla Ice Project on the DIY Network, and his producers reached out to John Olafson and Steve Wygant, the co-founders of SeeMeCNC, to create a custom, large-scale Delta-style 3D printer for a house project on the show. The SeeMeCNC VIP Delta 3D printer features a 15" diameter and 36" tall build volume.
