El Cheapo Webcam ??

Hi, I have OctoPi up and running with the Webcam. The Webcam is a logitech which I stole from my Skype setup. I have a couple of old webcams lying around which I have tried to get working and have failed miserably, they are also YUYV format rather than MPEG so I think they will steal too much CPU time. Has anyone here bought a cheap camera off eBay or somewhere similar that uses MPEG format and works "out of the box".

I myself use a RPi camera, it's decent but has some serious lag to it, but least it doesn't use up a USB port
