    3D Printed Guitar

Check out my 3D printed guitar. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:486731

I see lots of guitar bodies online, but use standard wood guitar necks... This one is fully 3D printable. Has anyone seen another fully 3D printed guitar?

    Thanks,

    Soltie

That's the first one I've seen. Although I'm fairly new to all this. I've looking all over for any 3D printed guitars but there aint that many, mainy ODD and Customuse that are doing them. This one sounds very good for the size of it and being all 3D printed. Great job! I'm actually starting a blog/site on 3D guitars. Ok if I can feature your's on there?

No problem to post the guitar on your blog. I think this was the first that included a 3D printed neck. Lots of 3D printed guitar bodies prior to my post.

Just a couple days later another user posted a fully 3D printed electric guitar including neck which looks great. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:493550

Check out my Ukulele too if you're interested. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:268090

I've just joined up to Thingiverse. Just wanted to check with you, as a maker, is there any option where someone could come to you and ask you to make one of your creations for them, at a cost, of course? For those who are new and/or don't have their own 3D printer.

I would be fine. if you have someone else print it for you (just can't sell them). The guitar will be expensive because it takes a lot of time.

There are forums and 3d printing matching websites that can get you in touch with a someone with a printer.

    Thanks,

    Ian

    Thanks Ian.

I'll definitely look into this. Could you give me some idea of how much we're talking about here? I'm promoting your guitar on my site so I want to give info to anyone who might be interested.

    Scott,

Sorry. I have never hired a print out before. 3D hubs can match people who need something printed with someone who has a printer, but if I were to make the guitar for someone I would have to charge them nearly the cost of some of the more affordable printers due to the amount of time required to make the large pieces.

    Thanks,

    Ian
