Imagine walking into a room where the walls are straight out of a science fiction movie, or better yet an alien lair. Well that's what this 3D Printed room looks like. Created a few months ago, the room which is being called the Digital Grotesque is simply put, out of this world! The creator used a 3D Printer which used sand and a bonding agent to print out walls, piece by piece, made of what they call sandstone. They ended up using over 11 tons of sandstone to create this one room. Created by computational architect Michael Hansmeyer, the design is actually made up of 260 million surfaces. The 3D file for the room took up a staggering 78 GB of hard drive space. Here is a brief video of the 3d printed room itself:



As you can clearly see, this is a room that if you woke up in it you'd think you were likely abducted by aliens. Here's a picture of just one side of the room:
