    First 3D Printed Book Cover

Looks like the first 3D Printed book cover has been printed for a book that is now on sale. Here is a video. Pretty cool idea and concept.

I'm not really sure if other book publishers will go out of their way to do something like this. Are there really any benefits?

It would be OK for a limited edition specialist book, but not for a high volume print run by a popular author. Also, a cover with a raised surface would be hard to pack for shipping.

Gives me an idea though for the cover on my book which I hope will see the printers this year.
