    Cool [Request] How to scan without moving Sensor Kinect v2

    Currently got a Kinect v2 (Xbox One) one setup as a scanning solution.

    Can easily capture 2D Faces but 3d models fail as the sensor is supposed to be moved around something I can not do satisfactorily.

    Not managed to get a decent scan

    used:

    Kinect fusion SDK (C++)
    Kinect fusion SDK (c#)
    3D Builder

    Support for the v2 is not as wide as the v1 but any help would be appriciated

    I found my main problem was getting too close to the subject.

    This seems to also be dependent on the GPU of the computer the sensor's attached to. I recently saw a demo of the Sense, where the demonstrator was moving around the subject pretty fast without losing tracking. When I'd tried that, I had to move much more slowly and carefully. But she had one of those new Surface tablets, instead of my clunky old laptop, which seemed to make all the difference (it's a lot lighter too...)
