3D Print Light bulbs With Yourself in them

With a nickname like 'the Golden Child,' Richard (Rich) Venten had a lot to live up to, having already created the CAD design for a brooch for the Queen's diamond jubilee in the UK in 2012. Rich's brother, Lance, is a goldsmith with an eye for unique design. Together, the brothers combined their talents and reputations into a gift fit for, well, their mother. Lance has created gold objects to sit inside light bulbs, and his latest features his brother, Rich, who had had himself scanned and printed on an Envisiontec P4 3D printer. One of these figures now resides in a light bulb which doesn't light up quite yet, but just might in the next iteration. Find out more details about these brothers' backgrounds in the full article: http://3dprint.com/50044/3d-printed-light-bulb/

Argh! Edison wasn't the "first to bring the light bulb in to reality". Swan in the UK had a commercial long life light bulb on the market a year before Edison. What's more, Edison only succeeded when he copied Swan's UK patent.

After going at it in the courts for a while they finally joined forces to form the Edison-Swan Electric Lighting Company. After a while Swan got bored of the business and left. Immediately Edison set about re-writing history to create a false legacy as the inventor of the lightbulb.

Edison only succeeded in anything once he had stolen someone else's idea for it.
