Amazing 3D Printed Rocking Chair

In an interesting turn, Alvin Huang’s company Synthesis was asked to create a 3D printed piece to show off the quality and capabilities of the Objet500 Connex3. This came on the heels of Huang becoming slightly irritated with his USC students for wanting to use the 3D printer for seemingly every project, despite other methods that would be better. Huang and and his architects took the opportunity to build a highly experimental—and stunning—3D printed rocker/lounger in collaboration with Stratasys, who printed the prototype of the chair in Israel.
