Slovenian engineers Rok Rudolf and Jure Hictaler are 3D printing enthusiasts who were looking for a wood filament that could meet their own 3D printing requirements. They ended up creating such a unique wood filament that they have launched the product, WO-FI, on Indiegogo in hopes of raising €18,000 to purchase an industrial extruder for manufacturing of their new product which offers a higher percentage of wood than any other filament — at 50% -- and also is comprised of only one wood, which also makes it unique. They also constructed their own biopolymers for the product, which makes up the rest of the filament, and works as a higher quality binding agent. WO-FI works with most 3D printers and is also easy to use for color 3D printing as it can be manipulated with temperature. The campaign runs through April 18.
