Cinema 4D software help

Hi All,

Okay I just cant get the hang of Rhino 5 for designs so been using the above mentioned program instead, and here lies my problem :

I have designed two parts that suit my needs yet finding it impossible to combine these 2 pieces into one unit for printing, yeah I know sounds simple just connect but that isn't working out too well for me as cant seem to centre both objects for perfect alignment. Sorry total dunce when comes to technology.

If I have the separate files saved is that another simpler program I can import them both into and align them properly then combine them as one print ???

PS anyone willing to Skype me through this would be excellent.
