Few will argue that one of the most difficult parts of getting set up with a new 3D printer is actually getting it set up and ready to print -- including software that may be tricky to navigate. Shanghai-based Anvil Technology is looking to improve the user experience for first-time (and even experienced) makers who are looking to get ready to create as smoothly as possible. They've just launched a Kickstarter campaign, running through April 6, for a full ecosystem including hardware and software for 3D printing. Their Creation Center system features a fully enclosed 3D printer that takes cassette-like cartridges of filament that auto-load, as well as 3Dit software that is based on a block-style building system. 300 early bird backers can get a full system for just $349, and prices look to stay under the $500 mark even after launch.
