We've all been talking about bioprinting for some time now -- but do any of us know exactly what that means? Until yesterday, we couldn't just look it up quickly in a dictionary to settle exactly what the term means. It wasn't in the dictionary at all! However, Oxford Dictionaries, one of the leading English language dictionaries available online, has just added 'bioprinting' to its authoritative compendium of language. It means, according to this online dictionary, "The use of 3D printing technology with materials that incorporate viable living cells, e.g. to produce tissue for reconstructive surgery."
