    Threeding Launches Android App

Online 3D printing design marketplace Threeding has announced the release of their Android App. The app allows you to do most of the things you can do with the web version of Threeding, from the comfort of your Android smartphone, or tablet. For those that don't know, Threeding also recently teamed with some museums around the world to sell 3D printable files of Museum artifacts. Pretty cool stuff. I am not familiar with this marketplace. It's interesting how so many companies have the same business model, namely an app store. I wonder who will survive.

Threeding has been very busy with Artec 3D scanning technology lately regarding not only Bulgaria’s National Museum of Military History but also two of their regional libraries as well, making models of a variety of military artifacts available online for downloading and then 3D printing. The museums will be experimenting with and experiencing a new line of revenue as they receive royalties on each 3D model downloaded.
