MakerBot Replicator Mini Announced - $1,375 - Ships Spring 2014

    - MakerBot Replicator Mini announced. It has an enclosed print chamber that helps with faster, steadier heating up, and thus faster, and more reliable prints. It has the same build volume as the original MakerBot Cupcake printer. It is optimized for speed, and no leveling is required. It has One-touch 3D Printing.

It also works using USB and Wi-Fi, and has a Camera for in-progress photography of your creatiions. It allows you to be able to keep an eye on your printout remotely.

It has a Smart Extruder, which is a magnetic snap-on repository for filament. It tells you when you need more filament.

Priced at $1,375 shipping in Spring 2014

This seems like a cool little printer, but if we wanted something cheap, wouldn't we be better off purchasing the New Cube 3 from 3D Systems? It's under $1,000 and seems to be just as good a printer.

Just as good? Dual extruder, PLA\ABS, few more features (bluetooth etc. no big deal tbh). But yeh, i'd say a lot better
Also 75micro resolution instead of 100.

Now there is no excuse why every school in America couldn't add an extra $1350 to their budget to get one of these in their classroom.
