Filament Stuck

I have been having some problems with a specific spool of material, eSun PETG. Each time I print with it, at some point during the print, the filament ceases feeding and winds up spewing out of the extruder.

I expect this is due to variations in the diameter of the filament in addition to the "slimness" of the Hexagon feeding tube, would that be a correct assessment of what is going on?

That same thing was happening to me with Proto-pasta PC-ABS. My problem was solved with a combination of raising the temp of the hot end/lowering the print speed.
