3D Print Wheels to Turn Your Sneaks into Skates

Ethan Nelson, an innovative young West Texas-based 3D designer and printer, saw Disney’s animated film “Big Hero 6” and decided to create his own take on the crazy, one-wheeled skates featured in the film. He realized it was probably impossible to go with the single-wheel design so his 3D printed skates, which attach to a regular pair of athletic shoes, have two wheels, one large and one small. He borrowed a 3D printer from his school and created a really cool pair of skates. He shared his process, thoughts, and .stl files on his Instructables page.
