NVBOTS raises $2 million in seed funding
When AJ Perez, Forrest Pieper, Mateo Peña Doll, and Chris Haid were all living in a fraternity at MIT, they decided they needed a 3D printer -- so they built one themselves. That prototype became the NVBOTS NVPro, and it's now what they say is the only fully-automated 3D printer on the market. Their company recently completed a seed funding round which amounts to $2 million, and they say the funds will be used to undertake further development and marketing of their innovative printer. NVBOTS has also seen some leadership milestones, including a Forbes mention and now a new member on the company's board of directors, Dr. Michael Foley. I'd love to see this automatic part removal in action. Haven't been able to find any vids on their site, or anywhere else for that matter, showing this printer in action. Other than that, what's to distinguish this printer from any other?
