Reginald Taylor, a designer with MyMiniFactory, has come up with a Wildlife Birdhouse, which provides a haven for birds and an aesthetically interesting view for humans who happen to look at it. He designed it to be printed using an FFF-based 3D printer, in about 7 hours, ideally using thermo-sensitive filament. That last bit is important for the design because the heat of a bird's body should be enough to change the color of the birdhouse, which Taylor notes would be interesting for children and nature classes.
