    Even if you only printed half of the part, that top portion should be printing during your first layer if you are printing it in the right orientation. Check what orientation you have in slic3r using the render preview feature I mentioned. If you find it's in the wrong orientation you have to use netfabb to flip it over.

    yeah, i am currently compiling using Strawberry perl in windows, but i don't see why it wouldnt on linux
