A pair of Harvard-educated architects and software developers have created a software package to manipulate three-dimensional objects at the "voxel" level which promises an unprecedented level of control in creating 3D printed objects. Their software, Monolith, treats each of the most basic pieces of a 3D object in a way which takes full advantage of the latest developments in multi-material 3D printers.
