Newbie desperate for help - Makibox 3d

Hi everyone!, Im new to this 3d printing malarky, Ive just taken delivery of a Maki box and quickly discovered the 'issues' the company are having, proving to be a mistake, but I won't let that dampen me,
My first noob question to you guys is how do I get started?, so far, Ive built the unit up, downloaded Repetier - host mac, I can now control movement and the extruder, temp etc etc, but now I cannot print anything... Ive loaded my file up so its showing on the platter but the unit won't budge, all i get is Printing ETA...
Can anyone of you guys shed light please?
Id be truly grateful..

Is anything heating up? It won't start printing until at least the hot end is hot.

You have actually sliced the model as well before clicking print right? If not that is your first problem lol
