The next time someone tells you that 3D printing isn’t exactly rocket science, you can correct them. NASA has issued a call for 3D printed Handrail Clamp Assemblies to be used on the International Space Station. The challenge, open until February 17, is hosted through GrabCAD and a jury of NASA and GrabCAD experts will review the submissions. The total prize offerings are $2,000 and the winner can imagine their design orbiting in the space and even being featured in cool ISS photographs shared with back here on earth.
