I just went to Home Depot and got a sheet of 1/8" glass and cut it myself. I was able to make 2 build platforms from one sheet. It is not Boro but it works fine, many heat cycles so far. I stuck...
Wow, fast response even at 8pm. Didn't offer a 2nd spool but that's OK.

Interesting enough my latest print has the same problem that you described. The plastic is from Orb Polymer and it is their Snow Leopard PLA. Before now the spool has been a nice white color but...
I changed the defaults to 80 which will probably be safer on the high side for those that don't know or care what the VREFs are doing.
I updated the scripts in that thread to default VREFs to 70.
I just updated the scripts to change the default VRefs to 80 instead of 127.
Changed this line:
To This:
Feel free to experiment with the values. Recommended values are between 60-80. ...
I just installed these hinges:

It moves the rotation point out further so when you open the door it leans backwards and stays open. I also like that it...
I've had success eliminating the strings by increasing my retraction to 3mm.
I disagree with this statement. I use active cooling on ABS all the time and I believe it helps the prints. The Stratasys Uprint machines we have at work also use active cooling and they only print...
Yes, use make an offer.
I haven't timed the nozzle heating but in my opinion it heats up fast enough. The bed takes much longer to heat then the nozzle does. When I go to start a print I will usually go into the preheat...
I've been looking into the Noztek for work.

I did this too and their response was this:
So basically somebody has to pay for it or Qidi needs to link to it from their website.
The cable chain doesn't make any noise that I can hear. I think the cable chain looks better than techflex mainly because it was printed with the printer.
But it definitely does not look as cool. :)
I've used the ABS clips on 110C bed temperature and it works. Eventually they probably will need to be replaced, but it is easy to print extras. I don't like them and have found a better solution,...
They are not the best solution but many people have had good success with them so I believe your statement of "you might as well not even try them" is in error.
LOL, I forgot to past the link. Sorry.

I second WD40. It works well on Acrylic also without fogging up the glass.
Try this one, it should work with 1/8" glass. Also the CAD files are included in Solidworks and IGES format.
Looks like you can map a drive to the SD card. I think I need to order one.

I've been running mine from a Raspberry Pi running Astroprint. I've been able to upload my files to the Pi over my network. Now my Pi is getting really slow and it is starting to take way too long...
I don't believe so. The machine would be considered a peripheral which would sink the current not source it.
This is one option for smoothing, haven't tried it yet but it looks interesting.
