Why do you need a raft?
The physical limits of the carriage/gantry movement doesn't allow more than about 230mm by 150mm or about 6"x9".
Yep use them every day when cleaning up prints.
If you haven't figured it out yet, the QIDI and all Rep 1 clones use a 24v DC power supply.
May be too late, but maybe next time.

These are a little better than your average blocks. Even have a full...
Hey there, I replied to your email.
Really a waste of time/money.
3 years on original wiring like this. The wires are taped to the side panel.

I haven't ran PLA at all. It should be fine, I have like 1 roll of purple I guess I could try sometime. I think it is because of the inconsistency of PLA temps. ABS is almost always good at 235 or...
MicroCenter isn't in all cities. It is a smaller privately owned electronics chain. Nerd paradise. Kind of like a Best Buy, but tons better and actually decent and competitive prices.
Lol, I stick with Micro Center stuff for now. It is good. I like Esun filament from Amazon too.
No it is a 24v power supply... You could regulate an output down though. Amp wise it depends on what PS it has but 1 amp shouldn't be a problem especially after everything is heated up. The power...
The only problem with getting the MicroSwiss conversions for the QIDI is the thermal tubes don't fit very well in the Cooling bar. The tubes on the Qidi are just a little bigger, so the Microswiss...
Hmm, that isn't a cable issue, might be cooling related.
Pics help. It could be a partially broken stepper cable. Is there a clear step where the printing moves to the left? It is good to reroute your X cables to something like this.

I don't even have Makerware installed anymore so hard to help more. S3d is 100 times better and all those flow controls are directly exposed to the end user. The latest versions of Makerware 3 and up...
Looks like you are extruding way too much plastic. Makerware software is kind of a PITA to change that but it is possible. You will have to find the JSON profile that you are using and up the...
Yep sure do. It costs a little to do it but have sent several orders there in the past.
A few of the early adopters go a discounted price.
Ahh, I got my guys mixed up. Another guy with a user name beginning with C ordered one. lol
Send me a PM if you are interested still.
Thanks, did you ever get yours installed? lol
Yes, it has always had the 2 wider back mounts. A potential customer suggested having the 2 front ones added in case someone didn't want to use the wider mounting. It was an easy add and didn't cost...
Nice, I just launched mine this week.

Ya I'm sure it works, just extra steps to do a pretty simple process. Goes against my principle of if you are spending more than 1-2 minutes to check and maybe adjust levell/gap then doing something...
Only the bed being heated affects bed "leveling". As it heats it expands and this tweaks/twists the platform. The nozzle being heated just affects start gap which you want to be net zero after...
