I swear I searched. 3 times, even. 🙁🙄 thanks!
A couple years ago, I printed a 3-piece mount for LEDs to go on the carriage of my i3v. I can't find the .stl's for it anymore. Anybody got them and/or another solution? I moved and the new printer...
I had it at 40% infill, but it actually made this last one solid. I guess there wasn't enough room. I'll take pics later. After looking at dunginhawk's layer fan thread, it looks identical. It's even...
I have PLA prints that end up curling if they are taller than say 35mm (z axis, of course).
I am using clough's print cooler, but running a 12v fan at 5v. It's not a whole lot of air.
210 on...
I used a Raspberry Pi for a while. If you use the live webcam feature, it has a tendency to crash. Since that's all I wanted it for, I chucked it. SD Card isn't that hard for me, the PC is 10ft from...
Changing to KentDixson's Z-endstop, Clough42's cooling setup + print cooler, and using the glue stick for bed adhesion, has solved all of my big problems. I'm sure I'll find smaller ones, but I've...
hal9000: What did you end up getting? My bed is awful slow, but I figure that's what the big bed does. Rocking a pizza box, atm. Doubled up, since they're thin. There are some hardware stores around,...
I'll make a mention of this, simply because as I skimmed through, I didn't see it, and I ran into this problem today, myself.
Warning, I'm a newb, so this may not be/probably isn't your problem:...
Hey, orionthunter: We'll have to let each-other know as things go on. If yours acts up again, let me know, and I'll do the same. I'm with you, this isn't flimsy stuff. That might be why I'm kinda...
Yeah. It's about a week old.
EDIT: He's got one on the way. I wish I knew what caused it, though. :/ At first, I thought maybe the spacers were too tight, pulling the bed together, but they...
Anybody ever had this? The eccentric spacers aren't overtightened, but the bed is still "bowed" downward, which makes it strike the top of the Y axis idler bracket. Since this is well before the Y...
Ooh. I'll have to print it out. Been on the fence about it for a while. I've printed a couple of upgrades, including a new Z-stop design I found/liked. Nothing against some of the other designs I've...
Thanks, printbus. I saw those, but since they were for 1.75 filament, I'm not confident with it. Not sure what all I would need to modify, aside from the filament diameter, itself.
Wow, thanks, all! Big response. It looks like I have some experimenting to do. Luckily, I have 2 rolls of ABS to play with. I have PLA making some new Z-endstops, so I can get it a bit more accurate....
I'm sure this is a dead horse, but after making some decent prints in PLA, ABS seems to be dreadful. I have yet to make one stick. Specifically on the corners (I know, I said ends. I meant corners)....
That's what the build guide says under "Parts List" but idk. It'll be in front of me Wednesday, so we'll see. :)
Thanks guys. And yes, gmay3, it's in the build guide (guess I should have looked there first). Just says get a 10"x10" piece, and break the corners off, like dacb said. Not having really ever worked...
I have a 10" i3v on the way. Now, maybe I'm overthinking it, but I wanted to get the glass, and thought: "Maybe the bed is 10", meaning a 10" square of glass would contact the screws..."
Those of...
