The Fact remains that Sailfish firmware is NOT Needed,
with the CTC printer !
And I want Everyone to Know That to be a TRUE statement !
As a warning to anyone else that may think they should...
As I said, it is 'My conclusion' !
Therefore it is 'True to Me' !
Why do You Keep being So Negative about my helpful comments ??
There's No need for you to be So Competitive !
Sorry , but 'Sailfish' is Really a 'Downgrade', :(
for the CTC !
Note: that's my conclusion from what I've read,
I've Not had a need to try Sailfish myself.
The original gear pictured Definitely Needed Cleaning !
The gear size and type must Match the design of the extruder and the Pulley in it.
The brass gear pictured has larger and Fewer teeth than...
Are you sure the feeder Gears are the correct size and type ?
There are many different sizes, that are only slightly different.
(needs to be type with straight teeth, Not type with Groove in gear)...
Yes, I tried Many different Slicers and Many different versions of Slicers
and None worked as well as Makerware-2.4 .
The CTC-bizer does not use 'thermistors' at hot-ends.
It has Thermocouple-wires, which are usually more accurate, over a wider range of temps, than thermistors.
(But temp accuracy is also...
My guess is a problem with a Stepper-motor or an output-signal from Motherboard.
To determine which, you could swap X and Y motors to see if problem followed the motor
or stayed with that Mobo...
Sorry, I'm not going to be drawn into the 'Insert' debate again,
stated my opinion of those several times already .
(info gathered from online videos, since we have never used or needed...
*** Love Your CTC ***
It needs 'Tender Loving Care' !
My guess is that the drive-Gear is wrong type for that size filament ?
That appears to be the Grooved type gear, may need the straight-Flat-teeth type
or larger inner-diameter grooved type,
to...
Drop your printer from a Tall Building !
It will be in Zero-G for a Little while . ;)
The feet we printed are very similar to those but have more plastic at top
to hold them on printer better, when lifting up or moving printer.
And they used pipe-insulation for the spring, not many...
LOL ;) I hope you are 'Having Fun' Disecting and Analysing Everything I Say !
Yes, I removed the very loud 40mm fan at Mobo and replaced it with a 120mm fan,
hung below the Mobo.
(used plastic tie-wraps to suspend there, since not much there to make a solid attachment,...
I can only hope that Rude behavior and speech
are Not becoming normal behavior and speech, where you are !
Very Sad for the future of our world, if it is !
Flatly saying someone is Wrong, just...
Yes, as I said, the metal-frame type is very-good
but to some people the difference is Not worth the Extra Cost of metal.
Since plywood type is also Very good !
(there's no way a metal frame will...
Good Luck, with your new printer !
Have Fun !
I won't be replying to your Rude statements anymore !
Mine have never failed because I don't use enclosure and have a fan at X & Y motors to prevent overheating.
If they get too hot to touch, then they are Too Hot !
(Motor failure info, from over-heat...
Wood is much easier to drill, cut and fill , than metal.
(for any addition, change or repair)
That Does sound like a Good deal !
To me having a metal-frame is Not that necessary !
Metal frame is Very Good but wood frame model has a few advantages over metal also.
(such as easier to...
You will need another accurate digital thermometer with thermocouple-probe
to get an accurate temp of bed.
The bed-temp circuit on Mobo will not read accurately below about 50C
Using...
??? The QIDI printers I have seen are about $800. !
The original CTC-Bizer is Only $400. now, which is a Good printer with a few modification added.
So, I suppose it depends on if you have the...
Why don't you use Makerbot-2.4 slicer and connect computer to printer, thru USB cable ?
(no need to convert to .x3g with that Slicer, and can use .stl files direct to printer)
(Most real slicer...
