If I was on the committee I don't know if I would give a grant for that much for the printer. There just wouldn't be that many kids that would go through the course to justify the expense.

I like the sunglasses doodle. The kids really like it.
My kids are building pancake 3D printers using VEX Robotics. 3D printing is used in all of my classes 6-8.
We use Autodesk Inventor. I teach 6th graders and they can make it work.
Columbia Public Schools has about 25 printers. Everything from Solidoodles, Makerbots, ect.
