What printer are you using?
What settings are you currently using?
What material?
What is the model?
How many solid bottom layers are you using?
What printer are you using?
Do you have active cooling fan? Make sure it is running during print
Google is your best friend. Just search Flashforge nozzle removal and you'll find a boatload of videos on youtube walking you through the process.
Sooooo you're just copying Octoprint?
I think it just acts as a de-greaser to remove dirt, oil, grease, etc that is on the surface of the tape. In the picture it looked like you were using painters tape, which is why I suggested it. I've...
Please provide more details -
What model are you trying to print?
What slicer are you using?
What settings are you using (temperatures, travel speeds, etc)?
Have you calibrated this material?

What temperatures are you using and other settings are you using? What slicer?
Maybe the PVA temp is too high and its oozing out.
Need more information before we can help you.
This is some pretty extreme curling for PLA.
I would suggest upping your print temperature a little bit. I print PLA at 215.
I use 65C for layer 1 bed temp.
30C after layer one.
Are you...
Yeah material can have a huge impact on parts like this. These type of parts tend to print easier in PLA, specially with an active cooling fan because the plastic hardens faster. ABS tends to need...
I perfectly understood your suggestion, I do this all the time in S3D.
However, my point is it will not solve the OP's problem. No matter how much you slow down the layer speed for the top 10-20...
For this pointy of a model, the layer height setting won't make much of a difference.
The best solution I have found it to place a 10mmx10mmx10mm cube on the opposite side of the print platform....
Alcohol or acetone works just fine.
It varies with material and the bed adhesion method you are using. Mine are always difficult to remove. You can pick up a thin sharp edged scraper or "3D...
Where can we get the model for the boat?!
I recommend upgrading to glass.
You can get a 6x9 inch piece from McmasterCarr for less than $25 shipped.
Sounds great! I sent in a request for a sample!
Sounds like it might be a bad wire or connection.
If it works for part of the area, but when it retracts backwards, the wire/connection could be separating enough to cause an open circuit.
I...
Hmm...the repaired file slices fine on Simplify3D for me.
You can try fixing your model in sketchup or try makeprintable.com
I have the same issue with Simplify3D.
Its a problem with your model. You have an open edge or something.
I ran it through netfabb basic (free download), and now it slices fine.
What kind of bed are you printing on? Glass, blue tape, kapton?
Anyone tried flexible filament with these hotends?
1. Reduce your bed temperature. I target 100C for ABS (some claim this is too high). I wouldn't go over 110.
2. May want to increase your nozzle temp to 230, depending on brand of ABS you are using....
Thanks for sharing! I'll give a try soon
Nice results so far. Please let us know what you end up with for your final settings. I just got a role of PETG....going to try and play with it this weekend.
Well, I was looking for something easier than priming, sanding, painting.
I print a lot of models with very fine details and lots of nooks and crannies - not really possible to sand a lot of them....
