Thanks for the link!
Hey does anybody know how to get a replacement silicone insulation boot for the Hexagon? Mine got wrecked in an accident. The rest of the hot end is fine, but I can't figure out how to replace that...
Alright. Did some more research on those linear actuators....
I don't think it will work well. Since we will be going at high speeds, I read that the 8m Acme rod wobbles a ton with a 1000mm length....
Good advice.
OK I'm looking at their site....
Here is the spec sheet on their Nema 23 stepper. They have a graphic of a torque curve that is really hard to read on my machine......
Good point on the speed. Can't you change the steps from 1/16 down to 1/4 with jumpers under the stepper driver on the ramps board? Then it could go pretty fast. 40mm sounds pretty painful. That is...
My PSU died. It was a 30 amp Astron PSU that now blows a fuse from some internal short. I will go figure out how to fix it, but in the meantime, I bought this one from some of the forum...
Hey saw your post before you deleted it :D
OK. Yeah the new actuator has a nema 23 motor that I think can drive that leadscrew with enough power for the bed.... When I was first thinking of the...
OK so I am so glad that I got the 12x12" model as there are times where I am trying to print stuff that I have to even run diagonally to get a little bit more out of it. I do lots of prints that are...
Thanks! That is exactly what I have going on. I just got an aluminum y plate from MF. I need to look into this PID thing.
I see a lot of information on reducing it, but what exactly is it in the first place?
Thanks!
Cameron
cool. let us know how it goes
My PEI was as good as glass with hairspray until I knocked the temp up to 120 then everything stuck perfectly. To get it very flat, I am using about 9 clips. My only complaint now is that at home, I...
I think the fault lies with the Green terminal connector. This meltdown had all sorts of side effects.... It burned the wires for my Hexagon cooling fan so that stopped and then my filament...
Hey guys,
I know I am not the only person that has run across this.
I had a bit of a meltdown on my J2 connector on my relay board.
I discovered this as I had a fan that was plugged into this...
Cool. I did a metallic grey that looks great (except for the brown maker farm extruder parts). I just printed some blue parts in ABS so at some point I will make it so that it all matches. I am going...
Yeah I am not sure what way I want to go.... I need to see what fans I have lying around.....
I don't have a clough42 sized fan either.
I also want to have some lights installed to see the hot end...
This looks very interesting. I am going to take a look at how this could work with my current setup. (wanting to add a PLA cooling fan as well so will see how that can integrate with my plans for...
no noise here. Mine isn't taped to anything. I am just using about 8 clips to clip it to the glass that is above the heat plate.
OK succes at bed at 120 and ABS at 250
Thanks for the input!
Thanks for the tips. What temp is your ABS hot end at as well?
Hey guys. What temp settings are you using for ABS with your PEI sheets? I am still having major curling issues. Any tips appriciated!
Z axis cable is probably backwards. Just flip it to the opposite where it plugs into the ramps board.
Well that is if I am understanding your problem correctly.
set your baudrate to 250000
You could look at the Printrbot Metal or one of the Makerfarm kits.
