Ok, no problem.
Thought that might be the case.

Ok, no problem.
Thought that might be the case.
Nice one !
I don't suppose there's any chance your software patch would work with the Einscan-S ?
Are you sure the hardware is the same ?
I would have thought the SP would need a batter camera to achieve the higher scan resolution ??
Ok, after scanning another couple of objects, I'm happy that the quality is at least as good as previous versions and 2.5 seems to be working fine.
Still haven't noticed a great deal of difference...
Well, much to my embarrassment, I've just realised I made a big cock-up with my first test of this new version.
The picture I earlier, which was lower quality, was in fact a 3d print of the original...
Yeah, you always have to calibrate when you install a new version as you have to uninstall the previous version.
One thing I noticed was the alignment was a bit off so I might try calibrating again...
Finally got it working !
Spent over 2 hours on a Teamviewer session with a guy from Einscan support yesterday who, to his credit, tried pretty much everything.
He reckoned it was some webcam...
Yeah, tried that.
Didn't have any problem with the previous version.
Having trouble with this version. Taking over a minute for a single scan instead of the usual 15 seconds or so and there is no scan image ??!!
Anyone else having this issue ?
Debug window shows...
AVG have confirmed the file is safe.
False alarm.
Just downloaded this and my antivirus software (AVG) thinks it's suspicious so it's uploaded it to AVG for further analysis.
Strange !

The SE seems to have pretty much the same spec as the Einscan-S. In which case there are plenty of examples scans online. Here's a few of mine ........
You can certainly pay a heck of a lot more for a scanner, this one is at the higher end of the hobbyist market.
It shows as the results are way better than any other non-professional scanner.
Good stuff.
That's more like the kind of support you'd expect with kit costing this much !
Just remembered I still have previous versions of the software back to 1.7.3.
If you want to try them I can upload them to my Google drive and provide a link.
Wow, that's a pretty poor response !
I'm guessing you've already tried rebooting your PC.
Sorry, can't really think of anything else at the moment but I'll post again if something comes to mind....
I doubt very much it's the graphics card. My laptop only has onboard graphics, no dedicated gpu, and I have no issues with the Einscan software.
I would contact Einscan support, they usually respond...
Thanks for the heads-up there. I'll be sure to avoid that one ! ;)
Very strange, I haven't had that problem so I can't advise on it but you could try emailing Einscan support.
They were very quick to reply to another issue I had.
So the auto alignment in free scan isn't working for you ?
If so, have you tried manual alignment by selecting 3 points on the scan ?
I sometimes find auto alignment doesn't work in free scan with...
it seems to be an intermittent error in the calibration.
Try closing the program then start it again and recalibrate. That's how I get it to work again when it happens.
Have you tried manual alignment ?
If that doesn't work for you, send Einscan support an email.
They replied to me very quicky last week with a fix to another issue I had.
Ok, I seem to have fixed it !
I uninstalled both version and reinstalled 2.0 by itself and autoscan alignment is working again. :)
I guess it's not a good idea to have 2 versions of the same...
Strangely enough, manual alignment works fine with mine. Can't understand why the autoscan alignment is so far out ???
