Holy cow. What this all on one build? What printer were you using? I didn't even know any build platforms were large enough to be printing for 54 straight hours.

FormLabs makes a heck of a printer, but I'm beginning to think they need to drop their prices. I agree with you that Afinia's are awesome for FDM. However they need to create a printer with a...
I know there are literally endless amounts of different RepRap builds out there. Everyone customizes their own. I was wondering what the coolest RepRaps that you have seen are. Please share with...
Here you go. This is is colorfabb Woodfill treated with walnut wood stain. Quite marvelous my friends!

Not mine by the way.
I believe the iphone function works with this upgrade, but not sure. Has anyone here installed it yet?
I doubt it's a new printer. There really isn't much you can improve upon with SLA, is there? Perhaps they are announcing some sort of partnership, or new materials to print with.
That's incredible. I wish schools in the US were as up-to-date on 3D printing tech as they are in the UK. I feel that it won't be long before they are though. It's just a matter of time. I really...
Is this an entire 3d printer kit? Can this be used to built a complete printer?
I don't know if I am the only one that thinks this, but every day I read all the 3d printing related news and I am amazed each and every day by the progress being made. It's not like there is a big...
This is one of the coolest videos I've seen yet. It is a time lapse video showing the Titan 1, which is a stereolithography 3d printer in action. It's only less than 30 seconds long but it shows...
Roxy, I've heard the same. I hear that it is awesome at creating your support material for you prior to printing. We need something like this. I'm glad that Slic3r is constantly upgrading. Seems...
Haven't ever used it but my guess is that you keep joining the filament as it is needed. This keeps it straight and doesn't bend and break it. You may want to email the company that sells this...
Does Hyrel have any plans on being at any Maker conventions or 3d print shows in the near future. I'd love the opportunity to see one in person.
These look very good, but I just don't know if it's worth paying $699 for. Aren't there cheaper ways of giving your 3d prints an Acetone vapor bath?
It won't be long before the majority of airplane parts will be 3D printed. Especially replacement parts for older, smaller planes.
I've always used Copper for my wiring. Seems to work the best.
I know there is a ton of debate over whether or not the 3Doodler is actually a 3D printer or not. I would say it is NOT. However, nonetheless it is a pretty useable device that I feel can allow...
Thankis for sharing Eddie. I was unaware that this company even existed. The process that they print with seems very unique. I wonder how well the bonding agent of the paper holds up over time. ...
Are the organs in the right places in this model? Pretty cool idea if they are. Although, I still think the benefits of dissecting a real frog would triumph this.
It's a nice tie, but I don't know if you will find a fortune 500 CEO wearing one of these LOL. We need to find a way to 3D print in fabric. That's when fashion will open the door to 3D printing.
Ultimaker 2 is a good printer. I'd probably recommend one of Makerbot's new printers though, like the Mini or Replicator.
I like how they are releasing more and more stuff. However, I don't like the fact that they are 1) only printable on MakerBot printers, and 2) they aren't releasing anything that is really all that...
I know this is a rather crazy question. However, has anyone ever tried to solder to 3D Printed items (PLA) together using a soldering iron? Would it work? I know there are times when we want to...
The SD 2 is a decent printer, especially considering the price. Now with the SD4 out, you may want to consider the SD 3 rather than the 2.
Not a big fan of this design, but I guess it gets the job done....
