Actually, the EASA regulation has 2 steps : over 25kgs and below for UAVs. So the weight is anything but a surprise. They're skirting a limit is all.
Can't access your shop anymore. Everything alright ?
I intend it to be ~40cm long, hence the cut in the middle to fit my 25cm print bed.
Yes it's going to be a "out of the water fan" type of boat.
Fpr that price there are many more attractive options. I mean 2k$ for something that has no heated bed ?????
It's a project with my brother... Who lives about 9000km away and he's supposed to work on the electronics. At 1 point I'll need him to freeze that so I can finalize the design. So yeah, july is both...
Try to check your hot end for a partial blockage. I usually do this by heating the hotend and then inserting a thin metal wire (from a metallic brush for instance) into the tip (from below). Take...
I love my printrbot. But people here would tell you as well to look at wanhaousa and lulzbot.
Here's what I made with mine : ...
They are on sale because the company is each day digging its grave, and it is doing so because their 5th gen products are so shamefully bad, so overpriced and their management of that so shameful...
Rylan, while not one of your backers, I admire your courage and persistance. Good luck finding investors to go on.
Makerbot ? Seriously, tell him to throw money out the window it'll hurt less. The OP requested a cheap do it yourself solution not an over-hyped machine that doesn't work.
I've thought about your...
Been trying to work on a R/C boat. Afraid it's a bit too late already for july readiness.

Read the makerbot subforum here and you'll see why walking away was a smart decision.
I own a Printrbot Metal Plus and it has been extremely reliable. I really like it for the quality I get and...
Not to be negative here but wouldn't it be similar to casting wax ? Such filament already exists.
Where do you live ? If you're in the US you can definitely find better machines : I love my printrbot and I think lulzbot has a deserved good reputation.
If you're in the UK... ask CA and he'll tell...
Sometimes, it's not the printing but the deisgn that's creating the issue. You never know until you make your own designs.
In this case, can't you just file it a bit ?
I really love your spinning bauble design. Would have bought it in metal during the last discounts campaign but I'd have loved a photo of it spinning - or better, a video - first.
... was any of this helpful ?
That would be true if you were to find a thermoplastic/curable resin that can live up to these temperatures.
how about good old fashioned CNCed aluminium injection moulds ?
ABS melts at 100°C but you print it at 250°C. Are you confusing the 2 ?
ABS is not a laser curable resin and as such irrelevant to SLA...
Sure, why don't you try metal laser sintering ?
1/ Double posting is annoying.
2/ without any detail it's difficult to help you but basically you seem to have a nice working step file with all the components. You would need to work on it a bit...
Look into extruder setups. There have been countless kickstarters on that, google is your friend !
Oh look, the 1st result of a search !...
