So I purchased a W04 version. I've not been able to configure it to work as the W03 version does. I am sending it back and just getting another W03. I got close, but the card's behavior was not...
And now the new QiDi X-Pro. Some nice new features on this one... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076BLQWHY
I need to get an aircard for a Folger Tech FT5 printer that I've just acquired. Were you successful at getting the version 4 AirCard working with your 3D printer? By the way, my V3 card does work...

FT5 R2:
(yes) Box-like frame so that I can enclose the machine if it's not already enclosed.
(yes) Heated build platform that goes up and down instead of back and forth.
(yes Rev 2) 24-volt...
Ready built ones are rather pricey (>$2K USD). IMO the Folger Tech FT5 R2 kit looks pretty good. I've not bought one, yet. The Tronxy X5S kit has a lot of folks working on it lately too, but...
Hmm, a genuine Trifecta! You might consider adding this to your QiDi Tech 1. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:124700
Possible problem with X-Axis cable. That's why QiDi ships a spare with the machine. Use of a cable chain can significantly reduce the frequency of a problem with this cable.
Also check that...
Thanks for the update. Good luck!
I've developed a few prejudices regarding 3D printers: I don't like the ones which constantly move the build plate laterally, that just seems like it's begging for trouble. Add to that a tipsy...
I'm looking at the Folger Tech FT5 R2 for use as a large format printer. Any Pro/Con suggestions? Better alternatives? No Deltas please (Sorry C.A.)
Thank you for an extremly well written review.
Glass and glue stick works remarkably well for me. Lots of folks have bought the Microswiss and installed them in the stock QiDi. However the Microswiss all metal hotend assy is a slightly...
Have fun with your new QiDi!
Well that's rather odd. The KNP is back down to $299. Go figure... Guess their sales dropped to zero when they bumped the price to $499.
Just saw that the knp price has jumped up to $499.
Not the screw, the rods. They are a component with a major impact upon the build platform's rigidity. Larger dia Z-Axis rods (10-12mm) are more rigid, provide more surface for the (also larger)...
Here's an alternative to cork, and also some high temperature adhesive to hold it in place. Seems to work quite well on my QiDi Tech 1.
Note: The pads are called "cottons" but are apparently not...
Knp3d is a dual extruder machine. Down side is it uses 8mm Z-Axis rods which can make the platform a bit loose. It does not have a front door, so a hood and front door w/b needed for use w/ ABS....
I have not found any benefit to having the bed be loosey-goosey because the leveling screws / springs are not tightened down. I completely agree that having the bed NOT wobble about makes for a...
One other item, you mentioned only printing from the Right extruder. Commonly when printing PLA, the best results are obtained with the use of a cooling blower/fan. Unless you have customized the...
And frequently, when the filament does not flow within a specific area of the print surface, it is because that area is too close to the nozzle. This is precisely what would happen if the extruder...
Finally hunted down an X-One2 ad on Amazon UK. Not much additional info. https://www.amazon.co.uk/QIDI-TECHNOLOGY-Printer-Newest-Model/dp/B01IHHJ7R4
Sorry if I missed this previously, PLA?
