Not when your machine motion and extruder are not fluidly moving below the limits of how fast the plastic can come out of the nozzle because your 8 bit processor is choking on the gcode.
Although I totally agree with you guys, maybe this would help with printing higher poly facets on STLs.
You know, like how our printers can choke on smaller diameter circles that have a high facet...
The problem with the Ultra(Dreamer) is that you don't have the control over important settings that the "old" one does.
No JKN advance settings, no installing new versions of Sailfish as they roll...
I'm am going to have to chime in and say yes, it's worth it for all the reasons above. I went back to try Slic3r after S3D and it was a nightmare to use. Cura seemed to be lacking a lot of features...
Thanks for the response. I have the alum one as well, I am betting the sharper pointed steel one was cutting in and grabbing the TPU, then pulling it around...
I'm sorry, but which filament gear works for you?
The newer aluminum one or the older steel one?
Buy the PowerSpec 3D pro (flashforge) from Microcenter for $699, then buy simplify3d for $150. You get a better printer, and still save over $350, lol.
