Either your extruser is not getting as hot as it thinks or you have a clog.
I had a similar issue today and a few weeks ago where it would print above the glass, I watched it print and the ABS slowly falling down to the glass. I spent a few hours weeks ago and about 3 hours...
Sounds like a clog or to low of a temperature. Make sure your temp sensor is not working its way out of the extruder.
edit...
Also check your extruder stepper current limiting. Also check your...
Ya I kinda looked at that when I was having lots of z-wobble(was an over-tight thread in the tubing that was forcing the screw to one side). The metal frame does not appear to move much if any...
I have had this happen and I think its caused by the spool binding just long enough for the gear to chew into the filament. I plan to work on my spool holder at some point, I replaced the wood part...
ABS seems to be the hardest material to get right sometimes, I have had some prints come out flawless and then larger prints just refuse to stay stuck. I am still working on getting ABS to behave. ...
It shows the output I can look when I get home.
We are talking about the manual controls. If your trying to extrude with a cold hotend with everything assembled then you deserve to have to clean up a mess.
I had no problems running the extruder with pronterface while the hotend was cold.
Yep Plexi.
Are you using Makerfarm Marlin or did you download it from somewhere else?
edit..
I don't recall doing anything with eSteps on my printer lol.
Check your current limit on your stepper driver. If its to low it wont be able to move. Also when you start making your own slicer configs be careful not to set the stepper speed to high for...
What happens is that there is some play in the threading of the nut so you can get a small amount of movement, depending on the nut and rod that could be enough movement to cause gaps during...
Flatty, I hope you did not drill out the Z-rod traps to much, to much play will cause backlash issues.
Also be careful of over screwing/tightening the rods into the tubing, I actually had issues...
Makergeeks seems to be pretty good. They are running a special right now, 2 random 1kg spools of PLA/ABS/PETG/HIPS for 33$. Thats $16.50 per kg.
Flatty did you get your pegasus assembled?
I did a few test prints over the weekend, first 3 came out pretty good, last one ran overnight and looks like the bed moved up/down twice during heating. ...
Got PID control setup on the Heated Bed, the switching frequency is much lower then I had expected (only 7.633Hz). Other then some hot wires(need to increase # of wires from ATX supply to bed)...
Got my printing doing some test prints today. On my third print of the day using PLA(60C bed) im about 2 hours in and the SMD board is staying below 90F. I have not changed from the stock relay sw...
Im using adapters.
So what probes are you guys using?
Im just ahead of ya:) Got mine 2 weeks ago, had a smashed finger so I waited for it to heal up enough to not hurt every time I moved it. Been working on mine since Friday morning, doing a little...
Slowly getting things setup. V2 of the board will be larger but I want to see how V1 holds up under load first.
V2 will be the same size as the stock relay on the right....
Did some testing at work, the D2Pak case gets to around 85C running at 0.7ohm load at 95% Duty Cycle (500Hz, 12V, 17Apk, 16.5A RMS).
I took the TO220 board and added a large heatsink , it had no...
Got 2 boards assembled, boy its hard to tell just how small those resistor pads are until your trying to solder them. The worst ones are those attached to large planes, good thing I have a good...
Isnt that what sandpaper is for? :P
Im actually thinking of following in TechMasterJoe footsteps and using an ATX power supply. For me atm its hard to guess what will and will not be useful, I just got the check today that will be...
