Something I like about my Sidewinder X1 is it just always worked. Then one day, after successfully printing a part, I started it doing the same part again from the same file and it ground the nozzle...
Ah ha! I shall print such a weapon!
Just replaced my antique Makerbot Replicator 1 with an Artillary Sidewinder X1. First thoughts:
Assembly was pretty easy. Took a couple tries to get the ribbon cables in their sockets right.
...
But it seems I did not get a kit for building a 3d printer, but a kit for updating a 3d printer. I've been a little busy with something else, so I haven't looked at it too closely yet.
"Wait," says I, "I have job! I don't have to keep my antique $50 junk shop printer working!"So I went shopping with my paypal and have a kit for a Prusa i3 Mk 2s on the way.So, maybe someday I'll get...
So, which replicator is this? Reading sailfish instructions, I'm supposed to know :( It has the wooden laser cut frame, dual extruder and heated build plate. I guess it's the Replicator 1 since it...
And it (Sailfish) comes in a hex file. That's easy to ISP...
Oh. I thought Marlin was the newer update of Sailfish.
My firmware is so old, ReplicatorG doesn't know what to do with it, so I figure I'll have to ISP it with my AVR programming tools.
Long time no post!I found my antique Makerbot Replicator (dual head) at a junk shop in 2017, though it might have been 2016. At that time the firmware was already too old for updaters to update, so...
Hmm. Flashprint doesn't seem to know anything about my antique dual headed makerbot (the old wooden kind).
Actually, I have a really old one that uses the old .s3g files rather than the newer .x3g files. I'll try FLASHPRINT
I used Makerware on my windows computer for a long time. Alas, my windows computer has bit the dust. I've been loaned a Mac Mini. Pretty cool.
Just installed "MakerBot Print" and wondering how to...
Everybody talks about the importance of environment control; temperature and humidity; for a summer, it sat out in a shed near a usually open overhead door and just worked almost every time I used it.
Since I had just printed something smaller successfully, I broke it into 4 parts and those seem to be printing ok.
After my antique makerbot dual (the old wooden one) prints a beautiful raft, it starts the item, moving fast and just laying a tangle of disconnected threads. Been stuck on this for a few days after...
I haven't posted in a long time, but I still use my found wooden MakerBot Replicator, and it usually prints whatever I design.
I think I got it from the sticky. Just close the new window that pops up to offer you a driver and malware updater.
Due to a sudden computer failure, I'm getting yet another computer up and running. I have the old wooden makerbot dual extruder machine that prints .s3g files from an sd card, so I've always used...
I found a whole file of settings, but nothing about the relative positions of the two extruders.
Wondering if I should put sailfish on this.
Makerware doesn't seem to know where the left nozzle is. I've done the nozzle alignment built into the printer where it prints a bunch of lines and you tell it which align better.
Any dual...
I don't have a device menu.

If I print with the left extruder, I have to shift the whole works to the right a ways as "Makerware" doesn't seem to know the distance between the extruders.
My aim must not be too good these days. Need more practice:

The overhanging part looks to be usable.
She's been printing away happily for some time now.
